CSI-ACHE

The Citizen Science Initiative for the Acoustical Characterisation of Human Environments is used by IARO to collect sound recordings and data from around the world for analysis and study.

Research

IARO members are active in taking sound recordings around the world, analysing them, seeking the causes of health issues associated with soundscapes and disseminating the results. All sound recordings are performed as part of the CSI-ACHE initiative.

Reports

Citizens involved in the CSI-ACHE can request reports be prepared by IARO members (usually pro bono) that can be used for public submissions or to provide information on their environments.

Publications

IARO uses publications to disseminate its research into acoustics and to respond to publications by others.

Expert Testimony

Some IARO members are active in providing expert testimony in public hearings that seeks to highlight links between soundscapes and health issues.
